ANSWER TO OUR PROBLEMS by DG Wilson Mar 17, 2009
Earth First Profit Last

Again, I saw another commercial on TV about starving children in Africa. Then a news story about starving children in India. I ask myself, why hasn't that changed? What have these companies that claim to help been doing for the last 40 years? Why are there STILL starving children all over the world?
Today I look about the world and see suffering at the hands of people. Global warming is a symptom of a choking, dying planet. Animals by the scores are becoming extinct not by hunting but from the dangerous environment. Also vital insects like the honey bee, amphibians like frogs, reptiles and fish are disappearing. These DIRECTLY affect most of our food supply for the entire world! Further Global warming is responsible for flooding seas and oceans, horrible hurricanes, deadly tornados, and much more. But what can WE really do about it?
What's more is we don't seem to have the money to help other families because food costs too much, gas is still too expensive to get to work, shopping, AND trips for the kids. Whatever we buy for our own families break and need to be replaced too quickly! Products bought today don't have the lasting power they once did. DVD's are temporary, a VHS tape lasted 20 years! A stereo will last about a year these days, in the past it was a decade. Cordless phones don't work right after 8 months and when a new battery is bought they still don't improve. After a year you need another! Why is it that a new halogen desk lamp actually costs less than replacing the bulb?! Things are made poorly and damage the Earth when made. Further they may damage the planet when used. When broken they are discarded, not fixed and this causes massive piles of garbage that will never go away.
But what can we do to stop this cycle?
Do you want a huge difference in the way you think and feel? Do you want control of your life? I just might have a very simple solution that would help people, all of the animals AND the entire ecosystem of the world.
Our global economy is in tatters because it was spread so thin. Our governments are paying out way too much for temporary solutions instead of fixing the problems so they don't return!
Religion has not been a help to us in any way, not to stop these problems anyway. In fact MORE innocent people have died in Holy Wars than in others!
What about our general health? We don't have insurance and when we do they weazle out of their responsibility to pay. If we do see a doctor they don't seem to help just throw harmful pills at you and hope for the best. It seems more cancers are the cause of death than old age these days...why?
Why aren't there any solutions? Are the problems so huge we just can't dig ourselves out? Is there another way to go about living life as a human? Why are our children passed these problems yet they do not go away from one generation to the next?
It seems apparent that the way things work today is NOT helping us solve these problems but making them worse. I wonder if there is a whole new approach to seeing the problems and then finding the real culprits. Once found how do we the people STOP them from continuing to make our lives hell?
How about you? Are YOU feeling tired, overworked, poor, hungry, depressed, over
weight, lazy? Do you have poor attention span? Feel sick, find it hard to work, are worried or scared all the time? Do you help the planet, recycle and everything right, but want to do more? Do you want a change in your life that will make a difference?
The world is going all one way and it is really going down hill. We are spinning out of control and about to face a very big crash. Society, humans as a whole, have everything all wrong and we the regular people, the poor and middle class are about to get hurt the most-- yet we just can't seem to change our course.
I think I have some answers that will help us live better, longer, freer and more responsible to the Earth.
Now, I want you to listen to what I have to say. My other books tackle a great portion of all these problems but this article here will help sum it all up.
Religion, police abuse, depression, poverty, ill health, and global warming are actually all linked. There is a link to all of these things. You are over weight, depressed, angry, poor, over worked, feeling bad, have cancer, and suffer from global warming pressure...which in turn affect us all, even the police because of this link. This affects our entire lives even our children's lives! It needs to stop but we don't know how.
These are actually symptoms of a dangerous lifestyle for humanity and come from one thing: the way we live and treat the Earth. But the damage is NOT directly our fault. Yet we DO have all the power to stop it.
We are the consumer that works for a living most times at three different jobs! We use what we are sold and then have to buy more. Meaning we don't request products to be made to suit our needs. Instead there are companies and people that try to figure them out for us, invent a new product and then it is sold to us. We never seem to get what we ask for in life, just what is advertised to us. We recycle and take care not to litter and treat our homes well...but we want to do more. We work hard, save our money and still have nothing. We are tired, sick, and need a relaxing break that won't cost us! We are the victims of a vicious cycle. We are at the end of the snake and the head is eating us alive. I feel there is a circle of danger that we keep rolling around...and soon we will all go down the drain.
I also feel that we care but are confused and feel that we are at a loss to stop all of it. What can we the little people do against a corp business? What can we really do about our health, weight, minds, children AND the EARTH? The problems seem so huge. The politicians we voted into office have enlisted the biggest minds and NO ONE seems to have an answer! We are scared, do our part, want to do more but have no idea what can be done!
I think I have some answers that will help us live better, longer, freer and more responsible to the Earth.
You and I don't kill the Earth directly. We sympathize and feel badly that yet another species of plant, animal, fish, amphibian or insect is extinct...but WE didn't do it directly! We were not responsible! We want to help the world but just can't do enough.
The truth is that we are NOT responsible for the cause. And trying to handle the effects is not working either. I mean recycling only 3% of the trash still leaves 97% to clutter up our planet, kill the animals and plants and so on.
BUT we are the ones that shoulder the responsibility to clean it up right? There are tons of campaigns that say, "Don't litter." "Clean up after yourself." "Recycle, reuse, reduce!" and so on. That means that we have to take our trash and put it into a can...so it will be picked up and put into a larger can. Then the contents of the larger can will go to the landfill dump. Where it sits and kills the planet. So how are we REALLY helping?
Why doesn't the companies that make and sell us their products care about their empty containers cluttering up the Earth for a thousand years? It seems to me that they should make containers that you can reuse or containers that actually help the planet as they sit empty. In fact if there was less dangerous products like sodas, processed foods, even preserved foods then there would be less trash AND healthier people!
What about Fossil Fuels? Why is there more and more damage done to the Earth even though EVERYTHING says that we need to use another source of fuel? Why are they still used and fought over? Some would say because it costs too much to change everything as we know it. The truth is to use them still is going to kill the world. Even then we know they will run out. So there has to be another solution found. Why are our NASA scientists still focusing off the planet when they are needed here on it?
We want to take care of the planet, ourselves and our families. We love them and want to help them all. But big business stops us and then points the fingers of blame back to us. They tell us that we need their product. They also say to be responsible with our trash. But they make the trash in the first place!
I am saying they need to be responsible with their products. Make things we need safely. Make them last so they do not need replacing. Packages that hold them should be good for the planet and smaller. (Have you ever bought something and saw that the package was twice the size of the product?!) Smaller, less packages that are good for the Earth makes sense and is a place we need to go so when the people buy them they are improved; and when they discard them the planet is better too.
They need to be stopped.
